Can I install a hard-wired tracker myself?
A lot of this depends on your abilities but yes. We provide all the guides and resources you need to install a tracker yourself, even if it’s hardwired. If you feel comfortable doing it, give it a go. Otherwise, speak to our team and we will organise someone for you.
How do I know if my car has an OBD2 port?
Usually these are found around the steering wheel, under the dash, near the footwell. But locations can differ. The OBD port is the port your mechanic used to diagnose issues. OBD2 became required in Australian vehicles after Jan 2006, but a lot of cars had the port from 1999 as it was mandatory in other countries. If you are still not sure, check your manual, check Google, or contact us.
What is WiFi tracking?
Some of our devices support wifi sniffing. The device has a chip which is reading the wifi networks in its vicinity. The device does not actually connect to the WiFi networks, it simply explores which networks (access points) are available around it, and measures signal intensity. The details are sent to googles API to give us helpful location data. Contact us to learn more.
